Property finance in Gran Canaria
Now you've chosen the property but how can you get the finance ? Should you remortgage your home in the UK or opt for a Spanish mortgage. More and more people are opting for the local banks due to there lower interest rates. Here at Canary Homes Online we can point you in the right direction. We work with a number of different local banks and are more than happy to set up a meeting for you to discuss your money matters should you wish. Mortgages are available for residents up to 100% of the valuation and up to 70% for non residents.
Requirements for Employed:
- P60
- Copy of passport
- Last 3 payslips
Requirements for Self Employed:
- 1-2 years accounts
- 1-2 years bank statements
- Copy of passport
- Last tax return
As long as you can provide the above documents then being accepted is quite easy although it does have its costs:
- 1% opening commission
- Notary Fee for signing the mortgage
- Approximately € 230 property valuation (depends on banks)
- Insurance for the mortgages can vary between € 120 - € 240 depending on the amount borrowed.
